Employee Spotlight: Shane Hunner
Meet Shane, FORMA’s Special Projects Manager.
Shane is from Portola Valley and currently lives in Woodside, California. A passion for fine homes was instilled in him at an early age; his mother built her tiny cabin in the Sierra Foothills while his father started a fine homebuilding company in Tahoe. In his free time, Shane enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and surfing.
Q: How long have you served as Special Projects Manager at FORMA? What are your daily responsibilities in this role?
A: I have been with FORMA for about a year and a half. I manage the special projects division, which has grown in both size and process. I do everything from predesign to warranty on individual projects.
Q: What do you enjoy most about working for FORMA?
A: The company fosters a collaborative and innovative environment by empowering its employees.
Q: What has been your favorite project so far?
A: Developing the special projects division. We are constantly improving our processes and working with our exceptional team.
Q: What parts of FORMA’s mission resonate with you the most?
A: “Continual development of people and process.” The company has invested time in developing its people and processes, and in only a year and a half, the changes are certainly apparent.
Q: What is unique about working for FORMA?
A: The voice of every employee is heard, and often that voice sparks change.
Q: How have you grown professionally since starting this job?
A: I am now the director of project management.
Q: If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
A: Buy a plane ticket (or a plane) and go on a long trip.
