Field Notes: Sea Cliff Residence | Sheetrock, Windows, and Finishes Coming In

The Sea Cliff Residence has moved into a new phase since the last visit, and this round of documentation covers a lot of ground.

The headline is sheetrock and windows. Both are coming in, and the effect on the interior is significant: spaces that read as open framing in earlier visits are now enclosed and beginning to feel like rooms. The staircase, which first appeared in a previous session, is back in frame this round, now wrapped in sheetrock and looking considerably closer to its finished form. The progression between the two visits is clear and satisfying.

Beyond the stair, this update covers more of the house than prior sessions: millwork and cabinetry going in, along with doors, door frames, and jambs throughout. Tile is starting to appear in select areas as well, with more finish work ahead in the coming months.

One reveal still to come: scaffolding remains up on the exterior, so the outside of the house is still under wraps. When it comes down, that will be a significant update. In the meantime, the interior is doing plenty of the talking.
