At FORMA Construction, relationships are the cornerstone of our success, and we want to support every client for all of their construction needs. Our Special Projects Division caters to our clients whose projects still require white-glove service but are focused in scale or have unique or special characteristics. This division concentrates on specialty rooms, renovations, additions, site work, and on-call/home maintenance and warranty projects. Our Special Projects team was created as a solution for clients who need smaller-scale contractor services but demand the high-quality service that FORMA Construction consistently provides.

Proactive management – which includes preconstruction risk assessments and cost reviews; weekly construction updates and budget reviews; subcontractor tracking and auditing; pre-occupancy quality check; postconstruction maintenance and service calls – provides a seamless client experience.

VICTOR MEZHVINSKY President and Founder

After a career in Supply Chain Management, mostly spent dreaming about real estate, Victor founded FORMA Construction over a decade ago. As a native San Franciscan, Victor has a deep appreciation for the Bay Area’s architectural history and character. This passion for construction and real estate has led FORMA to become a premier builder, with published projects ranging from the Peninsula to Lake Tahoe. As the founder of FORMA, Victor understands that the ultimate goal of any project is to build meaningful relationships with all collaborators through an ethos of trust, friendship, and quality.

LAWRENCE MOTTA General Manager

Lawrence has been in the building industry since 1978. Starting in a small cabinet shop in Maryland as a summer job, he worked his way through college and graduate school as a carpenter. He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute. In 1989, Lawrence launched his Bay Area construction career. He worked in the field as a carpenter, foreman, and superintendent until moving into the office as an estimator in 2006. Since then, he has worked steadily as both an estimator and project manager in the custom residential market for some of the finest firms in San Francisco, Marin, and Napa counties. His extensive experience as both a builder and manager provides him with the depth of knowledge and steady decision-making capabilities needed to lead FORMA as our General Manager. Lawrence continues to manage projects while also attending to his duties guiding Forma into the future.

JAMES BIESECKER Construction Manager

James Biesecker is one of our most gifted craftsmen and has delivered some of our largest and most complex homes. Nearly 20 years ago, James helped build a company and managed crews for multiple large-scale ICF projects in upstate New York before moving out west. For over five years, James served as the Superintendent for some of FORMA’s most complicated projects and
Recently, he transitioned from Superintendent to Project Manager. His experience at FORMA is a unique attribute: on large projects, he provides an additional perspective with years of experience as a carpenter and a detail-oriented superintendent, while on small projects, he serves in a blended PM/Superintendent role. He acts as the main conduit for the flow of field information between site personnel, the Architect, Consultants, and the rest of the FORMA team.

JASON BLATTBERG Director of Finance

Despite growing up in the world of custom home building with his father in Virginia, Jason spent most of his career in finance before his heart led him back to construction. For over 25 years, he worked at large institutional firms in financial analysis and investments, most recently at a family office that invests the capital of ultra-high-net-worth families across many asset classes, with a focus on real estate.

After recently assisting his father with the sale of his successful construction business, Jason rekindled his passion for custom home building. Given this unique background, Jason offers a compelling perspective to FORMA, benefiting clients and project teams in a way few can. Jason holds a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
