Modern Maximalist

After living in their home for nearly two years, this creative family of four decided to fully transform their space into a modern maximalist’s dream. Bold colors, metallic finishes, large-scale patterns, and quirky, personalized accents are just some of the stylistic choices that make this home undeniably unique to our client.

What was originally a kitchen and bath remodel turned into much more. The house was re-sheathed and given all new windows, waterproofing, HVAC system, lighting, and other infrastructure upgrades. Aside from the structural goals, the main aesthetic driver of this project was to create a space that truly felt one-of-a-kind. Our clients remained fully involved throughout the entire project to achieve a style all their own. After all, a house full of crafters and creatives requires a space conducive to an endless array of hobbies and entertainment needs.

This collaborative process allowed for each room to have its own distinct personality. The media room, for example, features a myriad of floral and chevron patterns combined with teal velvet curtains and a wall display of personal electric guitars and amps. A bookcase stocked with the Harry Potter series conceals a secret passageway that leads to a sultry wine lounge, illuminated with custom RGB LED lighting, complemented by custom millwork and electric blue marbleized flooring.

Every inch of this home tells a story of our client’s love for art and music, hosting parties for their children, late-night dancing, and all the moments in between. It is, at its core, the story of a loving family that revels in the freedom to explore and to create.
