When it came time for Katie Spalding to renovate her own home, it started out small. Katie’s husband, Patrick, had grown up in this house. His dad, who lived in several houses in San Francisco throughout the years, would always describe it as his favorite; “It has the best energy,” he would say. When Katie and Patrick decided to raise their family here, they knew it needed updating, but we wanted to keep the original charm and beautiful classic proportions that were so quintessentially part of this San Franciscan home. Katie immediately called Architect Chambers + Chambers, who had done an initial remodel several years prior, and the project was on its way. FORMA is so proud of this collaboration; expertly executed with beautiful, sophisticated results.
