Palisades Fire Rebuild | On the Boards
This Pacific Palisades Rebuild marks FORMA Construction’s first project in Los Angeles and a major milestone as we expand beyond the Bay Area. The work is part of the broader rebuilding effort across the region following the January 2025 Palisades Fire, and we are honored to help bring a home back to life in a neighborhood shaped by loss, urgency, and long-term recovery.
The project started well before mobilization, involving a complex entitlements process, made even more challenging in a rebuild environment where many property owners move through approvals simultaneously. With the team aligned early, construction is now in progress, beginning with excavation for a full basement. Since the excavation sits close to neighboring properties, the work required a robust shoring approach: soldier piles installed around the perimeter, with wood lagging added in stages as the excavation progressed to final depth, stabilizing the site’s edges so foundation work could proceed safely.
Key project partners include KOVAC Architecture (architectural design) and Nelson Davis (interior design). The work is led on-site by superintendent Herb, with project management by Angela Logan, who relocated from the Bay Area to lead this effort. We’ll continue documenting major milestones as the project progresses
